Fun on the River

Nothing in the world compares to an afternoon spent canoeing, kayaking, floating, or embarking on an SUP journey by standup paddle boarding on the mighty Deschutes. This crystal-clear river winds its way through the heart of the city, so you can savor your Bend sightseeing with a side of aquatic adventure. The new Bend Whitewater Park opened September 2015 at the Colorado Avenue Dam on the Deschutes River. Open to the public and free for all to enjoy, this state-of-the-art park features a floater`s channel, a nature habitat channel, and a whitewater channel with waves created by electronically controlled pneumatic bladders.


Hiking is one of the most popular activities people enjoy when visiting Bend. Central Oregon has some of the most spectacular and beautiful hikes in the country. From mountains to waterfalls to lakes to caves and alpine trails we`ve got it all!

Mountain Biking

Rock Climbing

Bend has come to be an Internationally renowned "climbers paradise!" Smith Rock State Park features some of the most cutting edge climbing routes in the world. Only 30 minutes north of Bend, Oregon, Smith Rock State Park is widely considered the birthplace of modern American sport climbing with literally thousands of established routes to choose from, with routes from 40` to 400` theres something for everyone! Maybe hone your skills first at an indoor gym? The Bend Rock Gym provides world-class climbing experience in a cutting edge facility with high quality routes, comprehensive climbing programs, and modern fitness amenities.


With more than two dozen courses around Central Oregon, it`s no wonder Bend has been dubbed "the Palm Springs of the North." There are courses in the region to meet every skill level and budget.
